FESTIVAL POLICIES: TERMS & CONDITIONS
The 2019 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) offers five festival pass options, each with a unique set of benefits and level of event accesses outlined on the festival website. A pass admits one (1) person and cannot be shared.
The purchase of a pass allows the attendee the opportunity to pay one price and have access to multiple festival events (as defined by the pass type [see above definition of benefits/levels of access]).
Entry to each event/screening on the festival schedule is not guaranteed. Admission is subject to the availability of seats and the venue’s legal capacity. We encourage all passholders to arrive early for events and screenings.
Events (panels, conversations, seminars, signature events and parties): Lines form 45 minutes prior to the start time and doors typically open 30 minutes prior to start time. Attendees with Group 1 pass access are allowed to enter first, followed by Group 2 passholders and then Group 3.
Indie Film Screenings: All passholders, regardless of pass type, have general access to Indie Film Screenings and are admitted on a first come, first served basis. Lines form 45 minutes prior to the start time and doors typically open 30 minutes prior to start time.
To maintain the integrity of your purchase, passes are not issued in advance of the festival. Passes can only be redeemed in person beginning Wednesday, June 12, 2019, in the ABFF Welcome Center at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Please check the festival website schedule in early June for final confirmation of daily hours of operation.
To redeem your pass, you must present your Eventbrite confirmation email (on mobile device or printed) along with a government-issued photo ID (passport or driver’s license). If you have designated another individual to pick up your purchased items, they must have a copy of your confirmation email along with a copy of your ID (passport or driver’s license).
Lost or stolen passes cannot be re-issued or replaced.
- Refund requests must be made in writing via email to email@example.com within 30 days of your purchase.
- Refund requests must include a copy of your confirmation letter and your full name. Once a refund request is reviewed and approved, please expect two weeks for funds to be credited.
- No refunds will be granted for any purchase after May 17, 2019. All on-site purchases made at the ABFF Registration Center June 12-16, 2019, will be final and will not be eligible for a refund.
Transfers & Upgrades
Requests to transfer any pass(es) purchased from one person to another must be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than May 17, 2019. Transfer requests must be accompanied by a copy of your confirmation email and the name, email address and telephone number of the new designated passholder.
Pass upgrade requests must be made via email to email@example.com no later than May 17, 2019 . The cost to upgrade will be based on the price of the pass advertised on the website at the time of the upgrade request, not the price at the time of original purchase. Promotional discounts cannot be applied to upgrades.
Please note that festival events serving alcohol, including all parties, receptions and networking lounges, are restricted to those age 21 and over. Master classes are for those 18 years of age and older.
ABFF promotional codes are only valid during the time frame indicated in the promotion. Only one (1) promotion can be applied per order. Promotions will not be honored on previously purchased passes and tickets.
