FESTIVAL POLICIES: TERMS & CONDITIONS


Pass Pickup

To maintain the security of your purchase, passes are not issued by mail. Passes purchased in advance of the festival can only be redeemed in person at the ABFF Registration Center beginning, Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Please check the festival schedule in June for daily hours of center operation.

To redeem your purchase, you must present your confirmation email along with a government-issued photo ID (passport or driver’s license). If you have designated another individual to pick up your purchased items, they must have a copy of your confirmation email along with a copy of your ID (passport or drivers’ license)


Ticket Entry

Mobile Tickets: To redeem your ticket, from your confirmation email, click on Mobile Ticket and proceed to the Eventbrite App. In the event line, open the Eventbrite app and have your ticket ready to be scanned for entry. Paper Ticket: To redeem your ticket, from your confirmation email, click on paper ticket and a new window will open with your ticket information. Pre-print the ticket at home. Please check that the printed ticket(s) has visible scan code to be scanned at the event line.


Pass & Ticket Policy

Festival Passes (SPLASH & SOBE) and individual event tickets admit one (1) person to the events and/screenings. Passes are not to be shared. Lost or stolen passes cannot be re-issued by the festival. The purchase of a pass or ticket does not guarantee admission. Admission is based on the venue’s capacity and the festival’s door policy.


Refund Policy

Refund requests must be made in writing via email to info@abffventures.com within 30 days of your purchase. Refunds will not be granted beyond 30 days of your purchase or after May 22, 2018. Purchases made after April 23, 2018 are only eligible for a refund until May 22, 2018. Refund requests will not be accepted after May 22, 2018. Once refund request is reviewed and approved, ABFF will refund your order total minus a 15% processing fee. Refund requests must include a copy of your confirmation letter along with your name, credit card number, expiration date and security code.

All purchases made at the ABFF Registration Center June 13-17, 2018, will be final and will not be eligible for a refund.

Individual tickets: If an individual ticket holder is not admitted entry to a screening or event due to the venue’s capacity bring reached, a designated ABFF representative must sign ticket indicating that the ticket holder was not admitted to the event or screening. Refund request for the event or screening must be made in writing via email to info@abffventures.com within 48 hours of the event/screening.


Transfer & Upgrade Policy

Requests to transfer any items(s) purchased from one person to another must be made via email to info@abffventures.com no later than May 22, 2018. Transfer requests must be accompanied by a copy of your confirmation email and the name, email address and telephone number of the new designated pass/ticket holder.

Pass upgrade request must be made via email to info@abffventures.com no later than May 22, 2018. The cost to upgrade will be the difference in the price of the passes advertised on the website at the time of the upgrade request, not the price at the time of original purchase.


Lost Passes & Tickets

Once redeemed by registrant, lost items cannot be re-issued by the festival.


Age Restrictions

Please note that festival event serving alcohol, including all parties and receptions, are restricted to those aged 21 and over. Master classes are for those 18 years of age and older. Please see ABFF schedule for a list of restricted events.


Entry to Film Screenings

Entry to film screenings is on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is strongly encouraged. Entry lines form 45 minutes prior to the screening start time. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the screening start time. Once the doors open, ABFF pass holders will be granted entry for the first 15 minutes. Individual ticket holders will be granted entry after the first 15 minutes. After the first 15 minutes of the doors opening, passholders are not guaranteed entry to the screening. Refunds for individual tickets: If an individual ticket holder is not admitted entry to a screening due to the theater’s capacity being reached, a designated ABFF representative must sign ticket indicating that the ticket holder was not admitted to the screening. Refund request for that screening must be made in writing via email to info@abffventures.com within 48 hours of the screening.
