This year&#8217;s festival will take place live in Miami Beach June 11-15, followed by an online segment June 16-24 on ABFF PLAY (<a href=\"https:\/\/abffplay.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/abffplay.com\/<\/a>), and spotlights incredible emerging creatives in the filmmaking space. <\/p>\n<p>In past years, the ABFF&#8217;s prestigious HBO Short Film Award has helped launch the careers of some of the most successful filmmakers, such as:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<li><strong>Ryan Coogler<\/strong> (2011 HBO Short Film Award Winner &#8211; <em>Fig<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reinaldo Marcus Green<\/strong> (2013 HBO Short Film Award Finalist &#8211; <em>Stone Cars<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rashaad Ernesto Green<\/strong> (2008 HBO Short Film Award Winner &#8211; <em>Premature<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li><strong>Frank E. The 2025 festival will feature a compelling lineup of narrative and documentary films from the United States, Canada, Jamaica, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, Zambia, United Kingdom, Democratic Republic of Congo and other nations.
