The 2020 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) offers four festival pass options, each with unique benefits. All passes allow attendees the opportunity to make a one-time payment and have access to multiple festival events, as indicated on each of the four types of pass, throughout the week.
Entry to each event/screening on the festival schedule is not guaranteed. Admission is subject to seat availability and the venue’s legal capacity. We encourage all passholders to arrive early for events and screenings.
Event (panels, conversations, seminars and parties) lines form 45 minutes prior to the start time and doors open approximately 30 minutes before events begin. Passholders with Group 1 access enter first, followed by Group 2 and then Group 3.
All passholders, regardless of pass type, have general access to Spotlight and Independent Film screenings and are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Lines form 45 minutes prior to the start time and doors open approximately 30 minutes before screenings begin.
Please note that festival events serving alcohol — including all parties, receptions and networking lounges — are restricted to passholders who are at least 21 years old. Master Classes admit only passholders and attendees who are at least 18 years old.
ABFF promotional codes are valid only during the dates indicated in the promotion. Only one (1) promotional code can be applied per order. Promotions will not be honored on previously purchased passes or tickets.
To maintain the integrity of your purchase, passes are not issued in advance of the festival. Passes can only be redeemed in person beginning Wednesday, June 17, 2020, in the ABFF Registration Center at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Please check the festival schedule in early June 2020 for final confirmation of hours of operation.
To redeem your pass, you must present your Eventbrite confirmation email (on mobile device or printed) along with a government-issued photo ID (passport or driver’s license). If you have designated another individual to pick up your purchased items, a letter from the email address used to purchase the pass through Eventbrite must be sent to email@example.com stating that the designated individual has permission to pick up the pass. The designated individual must have a valid government-issued photo ID, a copy of your confirmation email along with a copy of your ID (passport or driver’s license) when picking up the pass. Emails of this nature must be received on or before June 1, 2020.
- A pass admits one (1) person and cannot be shared.
- Lost or stolen passes cannot be re-issued or replaced.
- Refund requests must be made in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days of your purchase and include a copy of your Eventbrite confirmation letter with your full name. Please expect at least 20 – 30 business days for funds to be credited. All processing and handling fees are nonrefundable.
- Refunds will not be issued for any purchase made after May 1, 2020. All on-site purchases made at the ABFF Registration Center June 17 – 20 will be final and are not eligible for a refund.
- Requests to transfer any pass(es) purchased from one person to another must be made via email to email@example.com no later than May 1, 2020. Requests must be accompanied by a copy of your confirmation letter and the name, email address and telephone number of the newly designated passholder.
