Washington, DC is more than the nation’s capital; it sits at the heart of the largest concentration of Black wealth in the country — the DMV region (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Northern Virginia). That economic power, combined with cultural influence and institutional infrastructure, uniquely positions the region as the next creative culture capital.
This session will examine how regional markets leverage policy, tax incentives, workforce development, and public-private collaboration to build sustainable creative economies that expand access and opportunity for Black storytellers.
