Overview
This guide summarizes ABFF’s reservation procedures. All Digital Pass purchases, reservations, and admissions are subject to the ABFF Digital Pass Terms and Conditions.
Your Digital Pass allows you to reserve eligible events in advance and personalize your festival experience. Depending on your pass type, eligible events may include film screenings, panel discussions, celebrity conversations, and Signature Evening Events.
Reservations are made through the ABFF Reservation Portal on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Purchasing a Digital Pass does not automatically reserve or guarantee admission to any specific event.
Reservations and individual ticket sales open according to the following schedule:

Essentials and Day Pass holders receive access during the same reservation window. Exact opening times and instructions will be communicated by email and posted in the ABFF Reservation Portal.
Earlier access provides a greater opportunity to secure high-demand events but does not guarantee availability.
When your reservation window opens:
- Sign in to your ABFF account via Eventive.org.
- Browse the available festival schedule.
- Select the eligible events you wish to attend.
- Confirm your selections.
You may make reservations up to the reservation limit included with your pass.
A reservation is not complete until you receive confirmation through the ABFF Reservation Portal. Reservations are subject to availability and the benefits and restrictions of your pass type.
To make the most of your Digital Pass:
- Reserve high-demand events as early as possible.
- Review event locations and allow enough time to travel between venues.
- Avoid reserving events with overlapping times.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before each event.
- Cancel reservations you can no longer use no later than three hours before the scheduled start time.
Day Pass reservations and benefits may be used only on the date associated with the purchased Day Pass.
Reservations may be modified or canceled through the ABFF Reservation Portal no later than three hours before the scheduled start time.
Canceling by the deadline:
- Releases the reservation to another attendee.
- Prevents the reservation from being counted as a no-show.
- Helps ABFF maximize access to festival programming.
A reservation that is neither canceled by the deadline nor used will be considered a no-show.
- Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- Once the 15-minute deadline has passed, admission is no longer guaranteed—even with a confirmed reservation.
- Unless otherwise indicated, seating is general admission within each ticket category. Specific seats cannot be selected or reserved.
A no-show occurs when an attendee does not use a reservation and does not cancel it by the cancellation deadline, which is three hours before the scheduled start time.
Two no-shows may result in limits on advance reservation privileges, including possible suspension for the remainder of the festival.
If advance reservation privileges are limited or suspended:
- The attendee may continue purchasing available individual tickets.
As reservations are canceled or additional seats become available, new reservation inventory may be released through the ABFF Reservation Portal.
When released in stages, priority will generally follow this order:
- Industry Pass
- Power Pass
- Essentials and Day Passes
- Individual ticket purchasers
Newly released reservations remain subject to availability and applicable pass limits. Receiving a notification does not hold or guarantee a reservation.
Your Digital Pass and reservations are connected to your ABFF account through Eventive.org. If you lose your phone, cannot locate your confirmation, or have difficulty accessing your pass, sign in to your account from another device or visit the ABFF Guest Services desk for assistance.
You may be asked to provide information needed to verify your identity and account.
